We are Celebrating!

Top 20 Nurseries award winners!

We are thrilled to receive this award. Recognising QCE Nurseries as a Top 20 nursery group out of 1415 in the West Midlands. The nursery teams have been enjoying lunch on the house and bouquets of Flowers in thanks for all their dedication.

We of course couldn’t have achieved this if it wasn’t for all the parents and families. To thank them we have a special offer coming their way. QCE Nurseries, where it really is Much More Than Childcare.

Kids Korner's Charity Glow

On Saturday, 26th October 2024, the Kids Korner team participated in the Acorns Glow Walk, a 4km illuminated walk around Walsall Arboretum. This event provided a wonderful experience for all team members while raising funds for our Charity of the Year, Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The Kids Korner team embraced the occasion by dressing in glowsticks and lights. Congratulations to the team for raising £165.00 and successfully completing the 4km walk, earning their well-deserved medals presented by Kia Pegg.

Nelly’s End of Term Staff BBQ

At the beginning of the summer holidays, Nelly’s Staff celebrated the end of another fun filled term by having a Staff BBQ after hours at the setting! It went down a right treat. The management team Rachel and Lizzie cooked up a storm on the BBQ, the scene was set with camping chairs and outdoor rugs, complete with music for the ambiance effect!

It was a great way for all the staff to take a breath and relax after a very busy and fun-filled term. The relaxed space allowed staff to feel comfortable in their own environment and talk with staff they may not usually work with. After a couple of hours of food, chats, and fun – including a hilarious parody story of The Wonky Donkey by School Room’s Julie – the staff left feeling relaxed and appreciated. We’re so proud of our team and how hard they work, and this was just one of the few ways we show them that we recognise and appreciate all their hard work and effort they put into the nursery and children.

Nursery Graduation

This year 120 children graduated from our nurseries, fully prepared and excited for their next adventure in school.

The celebrations at each nursery were certainly tear jerking. A special time where our educators and parents come together to celebrate the amazing journey their child has made at nursery.

We are so proud of each and everyone of them. Contributing to so many children’s early year and getting them ready for school and life, is a privilege we won’t ever take for granted.

A big thank you to all our wonderful, hardworking and dedicated nursery educators who make the magic happen.

We wish all the children the best of luck in their next education journey and will miss you all so much.

Race for Life

On Sunday the 7th July 2024 the Ducklings team joined together to take part in Race for Life at Himley Hall in Dudley.

This was for a charity close to our hearts here at Ducklings. Some of the staff ran, others jogged and a few took it at their own pace to get through the 5K distance.

We had a very personal reason to take part this year to support our colleague and friend who has been fighting cancer. She impressed everyone with taking part and ringing the bell at the finish line!

We are so grateful for all the support and really pleased that our current team total stands at £2,023.00 + £362.75 for gift aid.

There were a few aching muscles the next day!
