We knew 5 minutes into our visit to the Oxford Nursery that it was the perfect place for our son (17 months). Having viewed a couple of other nurseries, we loved that the setting was stimulating and clean but without feeling clinical - we felt like we had joined one big, happy family! Our son had a difficult time getting settled at first, as it coincided with a dreaded combo of separation anxiety and teething. His key person and the whole team were incredibly patient and caring - it was clear how much concern they had for his wellbeing and development as they tried different strategies to help him feel confident and happy.

Our little one started at The Oxford Nursery in January and has settled in so well. All the staff are so warm and kind, and we feel they really know and care for him. We really look forward to pick up time where we learn about all the amazing things our child has been up to that day. We have been so happy with our experience at The Oxford Nursery Summertown since my son started in September. The staff are incredibly welcoming, loving, and always greet us with a smile. It makes such a difference to start each day feeling that warmth and positivity. My son absolutely loves going to nursery every time we arrive and he sees the building, his face lights up with excitement. The management team Julie, Amanda, and Michelle are especially wonderful. They always greet my son with big smiles, and it has now become part of his morning routine to stop by the office to say hello to them. He even gets to sit in Julie’s chair and play with her calculator, which he finds very exciting! We truly feel that he is cared for and valued, and we couldn’t be more grateful for such a nurturing environment.

My wife and I are so happy that we found The Oxford Nursery in Summertown for our kids, the warm and friendly staff go above and beyond! From being helpful on the bus before we've even got to nursery (thank you Canan!) to the fun activities, to the tasty meals served daily, not to mention all of the fantastic events all year round and updates throughout the day. The effort that is put in by the wonderful people there is remarkable and appreciated.

Having had at least one of my two children at this nursery for nearly 7 years and can still say with my hand on my heart, I’m still as happy as I was on day one. Both my son and still my daughter have thrived socially, been shown love and care everyday. All staff are friendly but more important are honest. They handle situations delicately but professionally. Children don’t just develop a close relationship with their key workers, but with all staff in the room and across the whole nursery. If you’re looking for a nursery that feels like a big loving family, this is certainly that nursery!! Happy children at the start of the day, make for a happy mummy!

Our son has been attending for six months now, and it has been such a wonderful experience. I was initially anxious about how his allergies would be managed, but the staff have been incredible—attentive, caring, and genuinely enthusiastic every single day. It’s clear they love what they do. We get (very adorable) daily updates. There is a lot of effort put in to engaging the children and teaching them all sorts of things. I am a partial fan of the “yes, please, mummy” that came home recently, as well as the art made using a dinosaur as a stamp. I will also say that communication with the school is fast and clear.

A few weeks on and he's almost reluctant to come home at pick-up! We are constantly reassured by their updates on the Famly app, even down to the amount of food he has eaten and the cream they’ve used when changing his nappy. We feel so heartened by the photo updates showing him engaging in the daily activities and weekly themes. Every week, we see our son doing new things at home and realise he’s learned them at nursery! It’s the best decision we have made and we can’t wait to see how he carries on flourishing under their care.

It looked like the kind of place we would feel comfortable leaving our daughter. Since joining our daughter has loved going to nursery, the staff take the time to speak to us on drop off and pick up. It is a very welcoming and friendly place. We would highly recommend.

My son has been attending the Oxford Nursery, Summertown since he was 6 months old. It is a wonderful, warm and friendly place, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. My son is very happy there, and has developed strong bonds with his carers in the baby room. The staff really care for the children, and take a genuine interest in their well-being. Communication is excellent. There is always a wide range of activities on offer, and lots of outdoor play. My son has made excellent progress with his development during his time at the nursery, and I feel very lucky to have found such a nurturing environment for him.

Oxford Nursery is fabulous!! I have 2 little girls (2 and 10 months) and they always come home from nursery very happy, which is the best indicator of how well a nursery is doing. The staff are brill and are constantly thinking of creative ways to teach the children. Their enthusiasms and patience is remarkable. I am always excited to see what they have been up to and it is always something that the girls are fascinated with - from water play, learning from nature, themed days, cooking, sensory experiences, singing... The team have endless energy and are always accommodating to the parents and of course the children's needs! I could go on but you get the idea!

A few weeks on and he's almost reluctant to come home at pick-up! Exciting & Engaging Activities
Regular gardening and growing all sorts of great vegetables are then harvested and cooked, often by our little chefs. We are certain we will have a Cordon Bleu chef someday. All of these experiences and learning journeys are captured throughout the day and parents/guardians receive daily updates.
