Meet The Team
Meet our team of highly experienced staff, many of whom have worked in childcare for a number of years. The vast majority of our staff hold at least an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare, and 40% of our staff hold either a foundation or full degree in Early Years Education or Early Childhood. 95% of our staff hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification and this will rise to 100% as soon as possible.
Sam Scott
Manager/Dragonflies
Sam joined the team in February 2020 from another local setting and works with the children in Honeybees, bringing a little structure to their routine before they move into Dragonflies. Sam is the architect of our shift to the Curiosity Approach. Sam holds a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education and Childcare (NVQ Level 5) and is a current Paediatric First Aider.

Deputy Manager/Early Years Educator - Busy Bugs
Sadie joined the team in 2017 and works in Busy Bugs. Sadie holds an NVQ Level 3 Children's Care, Learning and Development and a Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

Senior Early Years Educator - Butterflies
Our babies love being with Liz. Liz has been in the Butterflies room since 2014, and has over 30 years of experience in childcare. Liz holds an NVQ Level 3 in Playgroup Practice and a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

Early Years Educator - Butterflies
Hayley joined the team in March 2020 and works in Butterflies. Hayley is an NNEB Level 3 Nursery Nurse and is a current Paediatric First Aider.

Sian Colcombe
Early Years Educator - Busy Bugs
Sian joined the team in 2017 and works in Busy Bugs. Sian holds an NVQ Level 3 in Children's play, learning and development and a foundation degree in Early Childhood (NVQ Level 5). Sian is proficient in Makaton and also holds a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

Janet joined the team in 2016 and works in Dragonflies.

Lisa Leigh
Dragonflies
Lisa holds both a degree in Art and Qualified Teacher Status (Level 7). Lisa joined the team in September 2021, and works mainly with our pre-school cohort. Lisa is also a current Paediatric First Aider

Cath Mattinson
Early Years Educator
Cath joined the team in July 2022 and is working with our youngest children in the Butterflies room. Cath is currently studying for her NVQ Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

Giulia Catalano
Giulia joined the team in 2016 and works in Dragonflies.
Giulia works with a number of our children providing support for additional educational needs, as well as supporting the staff with the day-to-day activities of the room.

Lydia joined the team in August 2022 and is working in the Busy Bugs room. Lydia holds an NVQ Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification with tripe distinction.

Tiegan Burke
Early Years Teacher
Tiegan holds a degree in Educational Psychology and joined the team in April 2022. Tiegan is currently completing her Early Years Teacher Training with the University of Wolverhampton and will qualify in June 2023
