We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) alongside Birth to Five Matters and White Rose Maths Education.

Comprehensive Training Days for all staff throughout the year, including up to date information and guidance on Safeguarding.

Thorough and robust training for new recruits.

Meet the team

Roger and Dawn set up The Oxford Nursery Ltd in 1997. Roger is a Management Accountant and Director of several businesses. In his spare time he loves to travel, play baseball and spend time with his family and dogs.

Dawn established The Oxford Nursery Ltd with Roger in 1997. Dawn is a qualified teacher and has Early Years Professional status (EYP). Dawn champions the theory that children learn best through experience (Kolb’s experiential learning theory) and the curriculum and fun learning at the nurseries is reflective of this with wall-to-wall events. Dawn is very much into nature and a visit to Denmark to see forest school experiences for under 5’s firsthand inspired the vision of outdoor classrooms to maximise learning and education.

Julie is celebrating her 10th year working for Oxford Nursery in 2025 and has worked in Early Years for over 24 years. Outside of work Julie loves exotic holidays and spending time with her family and her dogs.

Kerry has worked at Oxford Nursey for over 22 years. When she is not working, Kerry enjoys going to concerts or the theatre, making memories with her family and baking.

Michelle has worked for Oxford Nursery for almost 20 years. Outside of nursery life, Michelle loves spending time with her family and baking birthday cakes for everyone.

Bernadette joined Oxford Nursery in 2022. Outside of nursery, she loves studying, travelling, going to musicals and walking her dog.

Emma has been with the Oxford Nursery for over 9 years, Emma loves reading, spending time with her family on days out and adventures, and socialising with friends.

Amanda has worked for The Oxford Nursery for almost 6 years. When she is not at work, Amanda loves taking on extra study, reading, astronomy, nature and keeping fit.

Lydia attended The Oxford Nursery when she was 3 in 1997… our very first customer! Later she returned to join the team after university. Lydia is a qualified Teacher with experience in Primary Schools and now leads curriculum and team inductions in Oxford Nursery, focusing heavily on safeguarding and educational development. Lydia plays hockey, is a keen dog owner and loves to travel.

Amy has worked for the nurseries for almost 9 years. When she isn’t working, Amy enjoys travelling, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.

Kerry has worked at Oxford Nursey for over 22 years. When she is not working, Kerry enjoys going to concerts or the theatre, making memories with her family and baking.
