High Flyers – Bank Staff
Our High Flyers are a valued part of the Little Flyers family, providing flexible support across our settings. These 0-hour contracts are ideal if you need to fit work around studies, family life, or other commitments. You will have the opportunity to work with children aged 0–12 and gain experience across different age groups.
We invite all High Flyers to our in-house training days to help develop your knowledge and confidence. No formal childcare qualification is required- just enthusiasm and some childcare experience!
Apprentices
It’s never too late to follow your career dreams.
At Little Flyers, we welcome people of all ages to begin their childcare journey through an apprenticeship. We work closely with training providers to help you access training and funding, allowing you to gain a recognised qualification while earning and learning on the job. No previous qualification is required- just passion and commitment for working with children.
Activity Coach – JETS Activity Clubs
As an Activity Coach in our JEST clubs, you will bring enthusiasm, movement, and imagination to children’s play.
This role focuses on delivering sports, games, drama, art, cooking science and other themed activities that promote confidence, teamwork, and wellbeing. It’s ideal for energetic individuals who love inspiring children through active learning and fun challenges.
You will receive full training in our Jets programme and have the freedom to develop your own activity ideas and carry them out with children aged 5-12 years after the school day finishes.
Requirement: Passion for working with children and an interest in sport, drama, or creative activities.
Play Worker – After School Club
Our Play Workers are at the heart of our busy After School Clubs.
This role is perfect for those who enjoy working with school-aged children in a fun, active, and relaxed environment. You will help plan and deliver engaging activities, support children’s social development, and create a safe space where they can unwind after the school day.
No two sessions are the same, and your creativity and energy will help shape memorable experiences for every child.
Requirement: Experience working with children is desirable; training will be provided.
Early Years Practitioners
Being an Early Years Practitioner at Little Flyers is a truly rewarding role.
We support practitioners to reach their full potential, whether that’s completing further qualifications, joining our bespoke in-house training, or taking on new responsibilities to build confidence and skills. We look for creative, caring individuals with a positive “can-do” attitude and a genuine passion for childcare.
You will also have the opportunity to attend our Inspiring into Leadership programme.
Lead Practitioner
Ready to take the next step and lead a team?
As a Lead Practitioner, you will develop a wide range of leadership and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. We support all Lead Practitioners through our leadership course, helping you build the confidence and knowledge needed for future progression.
Requirement: SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
Deputy Manager
If you’re ready for more responsibility and want to develop your leadership further, this role is perfect for you.
As Deputy Manager, you will support both the team and the Setting Manager, gaining valuable experience in the day-to-day running of a nursery. We provide full support and leadership training to help you progress towards becoming a manager yourself.
Requirement: SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and a willingness to work towards a BA qualification.
Setting Manager
Becoming a Setting Manager is an exciting and rewarding step.
You will lead your team, shape the culture of your setting, and ensure every child receives the highest quality care and learning. We offer flexibility to manage your hours around the needs of your team and children, along with ongoing professional development and support.
Requirement: At least 1 year of leadership experience and a full childcare qualification (BA desirable).
Senior Manager
Our Senior Management Team plays a vital role across Little Flyers.
Working alongside the Director and Setting Managers, Senior Managers support multiple settings, lead exciting company projects, and ensure all legislation and regulations are fully met. This role offers the opportunity to work strategically across the business and help shape the future of Little Flyers.
Requirement: Previous experience as a manager and a relevant childcare qualification.
