Inspiring Curiosity in the Great Outdoors

Little Achievers Preschool Stoney Stanton offers a secure, spacious outdoor area designed to encourage exploration, independence and physical development. Children are free to investigate, climb, dig, and engage in imaginative play, building confidence while developing coordination, strength and social skills. Outdoor learning is an essential part of our curriculum, providing opportunities for discovery and hands-on experiences that stimulate curiosity and creativity.

Connecting Learning to the World Around Them

Beyond the preschool walls, we take children on regular local outings to help them make sense of the world around them. Visiting farms, parks, and local community spaces allows children to experience real-life situations, understand their environment and develop practical skills. These outings are carefully planned to enrich the curriculum and support children’s knowledge, language, and social development in a meaningful way.

Encouraging Lifelong Enthusiasm for Learning

By combining outdoor exploration with real-life experiences, children develop a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom. They gain confidence in their abilities, understand cause and effect, and become independent thinkers. At Little Achievers, purposeful play and hands-on experiences are at the centre of our approach, ensuring children engage, learn and enjoy every moment.

Fostering Social and Emotional Development

Exploration and real-life experiences also support children’s social and emotional growth. Outdoor play encourages cooperation, sharing and teamwork, while new experiences help children learn to manage feelings of excitement, curiosity or uncertainty. These skills are essential for forming friendships, making choices and developing resilience, helping children feel confident and connected in every aspect of their learning journey
