Explore, Learn & Develop
Our outdoor spaces are a natural extension of our baby and toddler rooms, designed to support early development in a calm, sensory-rich environment. Children enjoy daily outdoor experiences where they can explore, move, and discover the world through hands-on sensory play.
Time spent outside encourages physical development, building coordination, balance, and movement skills, while fresh air and natural light support overall health and wellbeing. Our caring practitioners ensure every child feels safe and confident to explore at their own pace, fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Children enjoy outdoor learning in every season, exploring rain, puddles, mud play, and nature while staying safe and comfortable in our sheltered spaces.
On warm days, children stay cool with shade play, water activities, creative art, and nature-based learning such as planting and exploring the garden.
Snowy days bring exciting outdoor fun with snow play, creative ice art, winter activities, and warm snacks to keep children happy and cosy.
Woodwork activities help children build creativity, confidence, coordination, and problem-solving skills while safely exploring real tools and making their own creations.
School-ready
Through the magic of our beautiful outdoor setting, we combine childcare with education allowing children to flourish and grow as individuals. We provide a foundation upon which children can learn whilst nurturing their personal and social development skills getting your child school-ready.

Why are school readiness skills important?
The development of school readiness skills allows practitioners to expand and further develop a child’s skills in the specific areas of social interaction, play, language, emotional development, physical skills, literacy and fine motor skills.

Why should I choose Kimpton Little Learners?
Kimpton Little Learners provides an environment for children to explore, gain a sense of self, play with peers and build self-confidence. Children learn they can accomplish tasks and make decisions without the help of their parents/carers.
EYFS
Early Years Foundation Stage
We follow the core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, combining classroom learning with a safe and stimulating outdoor environment.
Children enjoy free play, fresh air, and physical activity, which support their development across the EYFS’s three core and four sub-areas. Learning outdoors enriches their experiences, helping them explore, discover, and achieve their learning goals in a natural setting.
