We’re so excited to be opening our brand-new Joyful Tots Nursery in Horley this January – a calm, nurturing space designed to feel just like home. Our vision is simple – to create an environment where children feel happy, confident, and inspired to learn every single day.

Our nursery has been thoughtfully created with warm, natural tones, cosy corners, and open-ended resources that invite children to explore at their own pace. We believe that when children feel secure and cared for, they have the confidence to try new things, express themselves freely, and take pride in their achievements.
Every area of the nursery is designed to spark curiosity and encourage discovery – from mixing colours in the art area, watching how plants grow in the garden, to investigating natural materials during play. We encourage children to ask questions, make observations, and develop a sense of wonder about the world around them.
Learning Through Play
At Joyful Tots, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) while drawing inspiration from Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches. This means children learn through meaningful, hands-on experiences – pouring, building, sorting, creating, problem-solving, and imagining – all through purposeful play.
We see play as the cornerstone of learning – it allows children to explore their interests, take safe risks, and develop important life skills.
