Based in a beautiful wooded area, Woodlands Nursery in Melton Mowbray gives your child the opportunity to learn, play and grow surrounded by nature!
Located on Asfordby Road, we’re on the outskirts of town and just a few minutes drive from the centre of Melton Mowbray.
We’re located in a beautiful wooded area and each of our classrooms has direct access to our spectacular outdoor play area.
Our spectacular on-site Forest School helps your child’s development and growth as they learn surrounded by nature.

- Open 7.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday, all year around
- Caring for children from six weeks until school.
- Out of School Club and Holiday Club for primary school aged children.
During their first five years, your child will develop faster than at any other time in their life. So we provide them with the opportunity to reach their full potential with activities and games both inside and in the great outdoors. Each room has its own dedicated outside play area and your child will benefit from our exceptional Forest School – helping them to become confident, social and happy learners who are ready for school.

My daughter loves going to nursery and doesn’t want to leave when I pick her up. She is especially excited on forest school weeks to spend time down in the forest doing different activities. She has developed and grown so much in her time at woodlands.
My daughter absolutely loves woodlands nursery and gets excited about going and also loves telling me all the adventures they all get up to she loves forest school and being outdoors so she can be as feral as she likes the staff are all welcoming every single one of them knows my daughters name and even my son who is hopefully about to join we couldn't ask for a better nursery her speech and vocabulary came on leaps and bounds just in the 1st week has made friends with both staff and children I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else nothing is to much hassle so thank you woodlands for putting an anxious mums mind at ease

This nursery has been brilliant for our 3-year-old! His speech and confidence have come on so much, and he loves going every day. The staff are so caring and supportive. We’re really happy with everything they’ve done for him!
Both my children have attended Woodlands nursery and have absolutely loved their time there. The staff are amazing and both my children really loved getting absolutely filthy enjoying themselves and learning new things at forest school. Highly recommend!!!
Our children have had a fantastic experience of being at Woodlands. The staff are great and have provided a space for our children to develop ready for school. The outdoor space and forest school are also fantastic and a big hit with the children too.
Excellent nursery with friendly staff. My daughter has developed continuously in her 3 years and continues to excel. Forest school weeks are her favourite and offer a different experience to other nearby nurseries.
