Mists and mellow fruitfulness

Our word of the fortnight was autumn so we talked lots about seasonal changes and the weather. We explored autumn colours, searched for and counted up autumn finds. We also explored pumpkins and made pumpkin soup. Our older children had the best time at the Sutton Ecology Centre looking for signs of the season and enjoying nature.

“All three of my boys have attended Play B C Preschool, and each of them have had an amazing experience. The team at Butter Hill have become like family. My son, who is currently attending Play B C, absolutely loves it. He comes home eager to teach me sign language, yoga moves, and share what he is learning about that week. In just the past year, he’s grown into such a confident, clever child. The teachers are warm, nurturing, and the children form strong relationships. I feel completely reassured knowing that all of my son’s needs are met when he’s there. My youngest will be starting at Play B C this September, and I have every confidence that he will thrive just as his brothers did. He’s already familiarised himself with the teachers during drop-offs and pick-ups, and I can’t wait to see his journey begin. My eldest, now in primary school, still talks about his former teachers and fond memories from preschool, and he misses it dearly. I am so grateful for all that Play B C has provided over the years - setting a strong foundation for both education and social learning. Every member of the team is an absolute asset, and I couldn’t ask for a better start to my children’s educational journeys.
