This week we were making and baking for the Macmillan Cancer Charity so we spent a lot of time talking about how the ingredients changed state and why that might be. We counted eggs and cups of flour etc and explored ideas of number and order, first we add the flour, second we add the sugar etc. We also tried to sequence the steps we took afterwards and events in some of the stories we read this week. We made silly soup with rhyming words and tried to find the odd words out. We also made our first visit to a local care home with our eldest children, as part of an intergenerational project with Liz from Debutots, which was thoroughly enjoyed by old and young.
