The Kids PlayNow Creche can help you and your child! Need last minute care for your 3 months – 8 year old now or in the near future? Struggling for hourly childcare during term time or the holidays? Does your child need a little stimulation? Drop-in on the day (availability permitting) or pre-book ahead of time for your child or children to have a ‘magical time’. We give you the magic of time, maybe you could:
- Go to the gym or join in with a fitness class at The Eltham Centre
- Work locally or even in The Eltham Centre, make use of their wi-fi if you are a member of GLL
- Socialise with friends and family in one of Eltham High Street’s cafés or restaurants
- Do some shopping in Eltham High Street without child distractions
- Take time to explore Eltham, maybe read or research in the library, visit Eltham Palace or take some ‘you’ time walking the great open spaces of Eltham
- Join an adult learning course at The Eltham Centre
Kids Play Now Club
The Kids PlayNow Creche provides hours of magical entertainment for children ages 3 months – 8 years. You don’t need to be a member to book an hourly slot, but if you are, you receive benefits such as:

Ages 3 months - 2 years
Our Sparkle Room provides a safe and stimulating area for the youngest of our guests, featuring bubble tube machines, a light box, instruments, sensory materials and age-appropriate resources such as building blocks, board/ sound books, sound matts and our star lights. Crafty Wizards PlayZone Creche staff use strategies from our pre-schools to make your baby feel safe, secure and have fun, engage in song time, join in with babbling babies activities and small talk strategies. Our babies can also explore our main KidsPlayNow space with adult support.
Ages 2 - 5 years
Our Kids PlayNow space is designed for children to explore the world around us, like a Wise Wizard! Peek past our indoor natural olive tree and you will see a range of opportunities for your 2+ year olds to play. Choose from playing with our:
*Water table with hand pump to control the flow
*Interactive tilt touch screen
*Play House Area: Crafty Wizards Role Play Shop, Crafty Wizards Craft Station and an ever changing Topic Tower.
*Messy Play Station. Will there be playdough? Corn flour? Shaving foam? Sand mousse? Fizzy paint?
*Wormery. Our peculiar guests are on display for all to gaze at their wormy world!
*Crafty Curtain Theatre. Sing on the microphone or hot seat a familiar character!
*Revolving activity station. Will there be paints? Construction? It could be on a table, on the floor or on a Tuff spot,
*A range of activities led by our Crafty Wizards Kids PlayNow Club staff. Shaped depending on our club guests, their interests and developmental needs.
Crafty Wizards Kids PlayNow Club staff are given training similar to our local pre-schools on how to make learning magical through creativity. The Kids PlayNow Club leaders are experienced in childcare. The term time only leader has been a manager at our New Eltham nursery and our holiday club leader is currently a manager at our New Eltham site. We like to share the magic!

Ages 6 - 8 years
Our ‘Snug Zone’ features big bean bags, a Nintendo Switch, tablets, TV, comics and magazines. Our older guests aren’t limited to the ‘Snug Zone’, Crafty Wizards Kids PlayNow Creche staff encourage children to join in with activities in the main Kids PlayNow space. Children are never too old to develop their imagination and creativity and we welcome their unique ideas for activities. Will they join in with large construction, science experiments, big art, board games or choose something else?
