Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you have a love for helping children grow and learn through play-based experiences? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our team at Little Weavers Day Nursery, a small and homely family-run nursery in Northwich.
At Little Weavers, we believe in developing curious little minds through a high-quality, nurturing approach to early years education. Our spacious garden, local community excursions using our “Walk-a-Dile” and Turtle Bus, and our play-based learning curriculum make every day a new adventure for the children we care for.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Early Years Educator, you will:
- Work alongside the nursery team to ensure high standards of care and education for children.
- Adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring appropriate planning and assessments are in place.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Safeguard children, ensuring they receive rich, stimulating, and age-appropriate play-based experiences.
- Ensure compliance with nursery policies and procedures, promoting a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
- Support the development of good practices, especially around inclusion and special educational needs.
- Deliver high-quality care and education while ensuring that all children are kept safe and supported in their development.
- Take part in ongoing professional development, including in-house training and additional training when necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A sound knowledge of child development from birth to five years of age.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures, The Prevent Duty, and British Values.
- Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- An understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities.
- An understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
- The ability to form strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and outside agencies.
Experience Required:
- At least 1 year of experience working in a nursery setting.
- A minimum of a Level 2 Childcare qualification (Level 3 preferred).

Work Schedule:

Whether you are retraining after a career change, moved to the UK from abroad, or simply continuing your education at college, we’re the right place for you! If you are just entering this industry, there are Level 2 and 3 qualifications offered to you to start your career; if you are an experienced Early years practitioner you can progress your career further with a Level 5 management course, foundation degree or teaching degree.
