Spring Budget Update

It was good to hear the government’s Budget update guaranteeing the rates early years providers will receive to provide 15 and 30 hours funding for the next two years.

Tax-Free Childcare

Tax-Free Childcare, an initiative by the UK government, aims to assist working parents in managing childcare expenses. Under this scheme, for every 80 pence contributed by you or someone else, the government supplements an additional 20 pence. This additional contribution mirrors the standard tax rate of 20%, hence the scheme’s name.

15 Hours Funded

In England, three government-funded early education schemes provide 15 hours of free childcare for children aged 9mths (eff 01/09/24) – 4 year olds.

15 hours of funded childcare for eligible 9 months – up to 2 years (Eff 01/09/24)
15 hours of funded childcare for eligible 2-3 years olds
15 hours of funded childcare for eligible 3-4 year olds.

30 Hours Childcare

Creative Kids is delighted to extend 30 hours of funded childcare to eligible families. Currently, all 3 and 4-year-olds in England receive 15 hours of government-funded early education weekly. However, if parents are residing and employed in England, their 3 and 4-year-olds may qualify for an additional 15 hours of funded childcare, totaling up to 1,140 hours per year!

If you joined either one of these schemes on or before 4 October 2018, you’re still able to receive these vouchers and use them to support your childcare payments with us.
